It finally happening! The New Pokemon online game was long been waiting for just an announcement of its release for quite a long period. The Pokemon Company has revealed the announcement of the New Pokemon Snap game for the Nintendo switch which is highly inspired by the N64 game. During a presentation, the Pokemon Company took the honour to reveal this brand new game for the Nintendo Switch: New Pokemon Snap. This spin-off is based on the cult classic Nintendo 64 game which involves in taking images of the Pokemon at various locales.
It is mentioned that the New Pokemon Snap takes you to islands among the variety of locales. This includes the jungles and beaches, where you can "research various Pokemon in their natural habitats." The photos will further take you in the game will build up a Photodex, this is somewhat similar to the Pokedex from the main series Pokemon games. The company also says that “you will be able to discover new, never-before-seen Pokemon expressions and behaviours by doing so.”
The original version of Pokemon Snap was released dated back in the year 1999 where it was well accepted by the fans. It is stated that “We recently counted it among our favourite Pokemon spin-offs, and it's one that fans have been hoping to see make some kind of comeback on Switch for some time now.” The new game is developed by Bandai Namco Studios. They also partnered with the Nintendo on other restricted series such as Super Smash Bros. Thus, there is no release date.
According to Nintendo, this is the basic premise of New Pokémon Snap:
“Travel to unknown islands with beautiful scenery like lush jungles and sandy beaches. The Pokémon pictures you take there will be used to build your very own Pokémon Photodex! This brand-new game brings the gameplay of the 1999 Pokémon Snap game for the Nintendo 64™ system to life on the Nintendo Switch system with unknown islands to discover and different Pokémon to see! Photograph lively wild Pokémon in their natural habitats as you research and explore unknown islands. Journey through a variety of environments such as beaches and jungles to capture previously-unseen Pokémon behaviours. The photos you take can also be used to fill out your very own Pokémon Photodex!”
