God of War and Horizon Forbidden West are coming on the TV screens as per announcements. Sony is working towards bringing some of their biggest video game franchises of all time with creative TV adaptations.

The fans are left highly anticipated as analyst David Gibson relayed that God of War will get a TV series on Amazon. A Horizon Forbidden West series is coming on Netflix. A TV show on Gran Turismo is under works, but Sony is yet to make an announcement of the service or network for this one. But recent reports update that Gran Turismo will be made into a movie and not a TV series.

In May 2021, one of Sony's spokespeople crushed the fans' hopes when he left them in uncertainty stating that the possible God of War TV series was not on their list of happenings. But the spokesperson kept the room for a potential TV series open as he concluded, saying that plans are ever-changing.

The announcement came in the light of an event held where Sony discussed its annual investor briefing. The briefing did include plans to boost the production of PlayStation 5 and expand its accessibility to the people who want to possess this iconic console.

After the massive announcement, there was a debate about who will be cast as Aloy, Kratos, Atreus, Mimir, and other characters and how Sony could make a TV show/ movie on Gran Turismo. Fans can wait and speculate as no further details from the video games being turned into TV series have not been revealed. All of the shows will also be arty produced by PlayStation Productions, a business unit at Sony that is lately responsible for bringing the PlayStation games into film and TV series adaptations.

Sony did announce back in May 2021 that they had 10 movies and TV shows based on games under work. These latest projects add to the other known projects, namely, Uncharted film, released in 2022 starring Tom Holland, the upcoming Chad Stahelski's Ghost of Tsushima movie, The Last of Us, an HBO series, and Bob's Burgers writers Twisted Metal show.
