Utada Hikaru played at Coachella over the weekend, and Kingdom Hearts fans
in attendance were definitely overjoyed to be there. The vocalist began with
Simple and Clean, the song most closely linked with the original Kingdom
Hearts game and the series as a whole. However, that wasn't the only KH
music played; Utada Hikaru also sang Face My Fears, the opening song from
Kingdom Hearts III. Naturally, the singer also sang a lot of other songs from
their catalog, and it seems like it was a fantastic show overall!

It's difficult to overestimate the influence Utada Hikaru's music has had on the
Kingdom Hearts franchise, and how much it has inspired fans all across the
world. Since the initial Kingdom Hearts game was launched by Square Enix in
2002, the series has become one of the most beloved in all of gaming. Since
then, the singer has stayed involved with Kingdom Hearts, contributing songs
to all three numbered entries in the series. Replies to the Tweet above are
flooded with Kingdom Hearts fans who are envious that they will not be able
to attend, and it's simple to understand why!

Square Enix officially unveiled Kingdom Hearts 4, the next entry in the RPG
series, earlier this month. At the moment, little information about the game
has been published, however, reports claim that it may include characters and
aspects from the Star Wars property. It's too early to say whether Utada
Hikaru will return with a song in the next game but considering their tight
history with the franchise and the obvious affection The singer's popularity
among Kingdom Hearts fans appears to be a safe bet. Fans of the series will
have to wait and watch for the time being!
