In an announcement, Skydance New Media has revealed that they are collaborating with Lucasfilm Games as they are heading to create an all-new Star Wars game which will reportedly feature its original storyline. Skydance New Media is a new interactive division of Skydance Media helmed by award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig. Amy Hennig is famous for her wondrous works on Uncharted 1-4, where she contributed as the head writer and creative director of the game.

Hennig revealed in the press release that she is elated to work on a new Star Wars game with Lucasfilm Games and share with the fans an interactive story from the Star Wars galaxy. She further said that she was 12 when Star Wars creatively inspired her.

But it is not the first time that Hennig is associated with a Star Wars game. In April 2014, Amy Hennig collaborated with Visceral Games and led the development of a Project Ragtag game. Project Ragtag is a third-person action-adventure Star Wars video game that got canceled by EA Vancouver.

The Vice President of Lucasfilm Games, Douglas Reilly, exclaimed that they are excited to work again with the prestigious Amy Hennig. He added that Lucasfilm Games believe that Hennig and the team of Skydance New Media are talented and possess the true ambition required in designing a unique Star Wars game filled with adventure and action. According to Reilly, what makes the collaboration exciting is that they can create an inviting and interactive game delivering cinematic entertainment. He promised to work hard with Skydance New Media to bring a never-seen-before Star Wars game to the players.

Lately, there are some hordes of Star Wars games lined up from various developers. Ubisoft Massive is creating a Star Wars game; Respawn is developing a sequel of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Aspyr is set to remake Knights of the Old Republic, and Bit Reactor, too, is building a Star Wars strategy game.

Skydance New Media is reportedly also working on a Marvel game, and Hennig received credits for working on Forspoken’s storyline. So, players, stay tuned till the anticipated Star Wars game officially launches!
