A new free game has been sent to Netflix subscribers. A new game out now is only available to Netflix subscribers. It's also free if you have a Netflix membership. Furthermore, there are no advertisements, in-game purchases, or extra costs. There are no strings connected, and the only requirement is that you have a Netflix subscription and a compatible iOS or Android smartphone.
Shatter Remastered is a "retro-inspired brick-breaking game that mixes traditional action with innovative twists and amazing boss battles," according to the game's description. "Widely regarded as the game that revolutionised the brick-breaking genre, Shatter Remastered offers dozens of distinct levels packed with fantastic physics, power-ups, and special attacks," the game's official description says. "It's simple to learn but difficult to master."

Is this new Netflix game worth playing? It's difficult to say. It has mediocre ratings on the Google Play Store, but it has a 4.4 out of 5 rating on the App Store, however, this is based on only seven reviews. What we can say is that the original game, of which this is a remaster, is enjoyable, or at least that's what its Metacritic score of 86 says. This is a remaster of a game called Shatter, which was first released in 2009 as a PSN and PS3 exclusive.

At the time of publication, there is no indication on whether or not this game will be made available outside of a Netflix membership. And, considering that Netflix is listed as the "seller" on the App Store, it's doubtful that this will change. If the limitation is relaxed at some time, the free download will almost certainly be replaced by an upfront payment, or the game will be monetized through in-game purchases and/or advertisements.
