Following rumors that the Dead Space remake would be released in early 2023 instead of late 2022, Electronic Arts have confirmed that it will be released in early 2023. This was disclosed in the game's most recent developer diary and was also publicized independently on Twitter. According to Motive Studio, the creators have a release date in mind, but they want to make sure Dead Space lives up to expectations before making any additional announcements.
"We want to make sure we're in a position where the game we're going to produce lives up to fans' expectations," Motive Studio explained. "That's the most important thing." So we'll say early next year for now. We have a deadline in mind, and we want to make sure that everything falls into place in time." In a few weeks, the Dead Space remake will be playable from beginning to end. And per The Verge, EA first unveiled the remake of the survival horror game in July but did not indicate the release date. It did reveal, though, that the project would be "rebuilt from the bottom up" and created by Motive, which is perhaps best known for its efforts on 'Star Wars: Squadrons.'

The sci-fi classic survival horror game will be coming as a remake totally rebuilt from the ground up, as announced during EA Play Live 2021. With new visuals, audio, and controls driven by the Frostbite engine, it's being specifically developed for next-generation consoles and PC.
During the webcast, the company also demonstrated some of the enhancements that will be included in the next remake. Audio occlusion, weapon sound effects, and the ALIVE system, which controls protagonist Isaac Clarke's heartbeat, breathing, and speaking, have all received special attention from the developers.
