Grand Theft Auto V, a game which, at seven years of age, should probably have slipped out of relevancy a long time ago, continues to move copies in its millions every month. Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5 in the second half of 2021 and will feature enhanced graphics and improved performance to take full advantage of the console’s powerful new hardware, making the game "more beautiful and more responsive than ever." Although Rockstar didn't actually show off how the game will look on PS5, they did promise GTA V will be "enhanced and expanded" on the next-gen system. This means a next-gen SKU with high-end optimizations, possibly including native 4K, higher frame rates, ray tracing, the works. GTA Online will of course be included with every PS5 copy of GTA V. Rockstar also confirmed that GTA Online gamers will get 1 million in-game cash every month until GTA V launches on PS5 in 2021. It started on PS3, survived the entire PS4 gen, and now it's hitting PS5 -- there's no stopping this thing.
GTA V is the second best-selling video game of all time with over 130 million copies shipped and one of the most financially successful entertainment products of all time, with about $6 billion in worldwide revenue. Right now, it’s not exactly clear what this new edition will include, but we could get some fresh story content. If one thing’s for certain, it’s that Rockstar will no doubt be taking advantage of the console’s upgraded technology and increased power to make the game look better than it ever has.But it's assured that all of the PS5 owners will be getting a copy of the enhanced GTA V version for free at launch.
