Destiny 2 has faced a sudden shutdown this week as the developers announced the cause of the low server was emergency maintenance. It was announced via a Twitter post by the developers about the emergency maintenance, but its reason is yet to be confirmed.

The Destiny 2 enthusiasts were left derailed as the servers were so low that they could no longer access the game. It is not made inevitable by Bungie, the developer, when the players can access the game. This emergency maintenance happens to be a routine check that is quite frequent. According to Bungie, the original slated plan was to shut down the servers for approximately 45 minutes. With the start of the maintenance, Bungie announced that they would extend the time for maintenance to about one more hour. The developers assured the Destiny 2 players of no further delay through tweets from their verified Twitter account. But again, after 30 minutes of ensuring the enthusiastic players of no further delay, Bungie once again tweeted that the servers would again go down. They did indicate that the server would be down for an indefinite period leaving the fans terribly anxious.

This emergency maintenance from the developers of Destiny 2 comes right after the release of their brand new expansion, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. The Witch Queen expansion comes with impressive new raids, story-based missions filled with exciting new challenges. It explores compelling new campaigns. The players will also be facing some of the biggest and most anticipated enemies, the Lucent Brood, known to be the army of Hive Guardians led by Savathun. This expansion also brings some exciting new weapons, exotics and crafting. One of the latest weapons is the versatile Glaive, which comes with shooting and shielding facilities. The Witch Queen also has challenging raids, intense six-player activities and dungeons.

But to the rejoice of the Destiny fans, the developers updated, which was one of the long-awaited announcements that the game has to go through quite a few more additional maintenance. This time, Bungie has promised no more downtime, prompting them to enjoy the game amidst its maintenance is still under process. Thus, the players can hopefully enjoy their playtime without any disruptions.
