While the first major update for Lost Ark is planned later this month, the announcement that the next weekly update would rebalance some tier 1 and tier 2 endgame activities—several of its Abyssal Dungeons and Guardian Raids are also being nerfed—has prompted a lot of discussion amongst players. Hardcore players bemoaned the fact that their game was being degraded for the sake of casuals, while others highlighted out that Guardian Raids, in particular—daily activities—didn't have to be as long as they are now.

Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games have disclosed how they plan to make Guardian Raids and Abyssal Dungeons in Lost Ark less "tedious than entertaining." We also have some rationale for our decisions and a slew of other improvements that will improve our quality of life. While some aspects of Abyssal Dungeon encounters have been made more approachable, the majority of the adjustments have been made to clarify specific mechanics. The visual effect of Sigmund's color wave assault in the Necromancer's Origin dungeon, for example, has been modified by Smilegate RPG to make it easier to understand. The Phantom Palace, on the other hand, has undergone the most transformations. The attack pattern of the Phantom Legion King first from Hall of a Twisted Warlord confrontation has been altered to make it more manageable.

Due to player complaints, Amazon has announced that the following Guardian Raids will be nerfed:

*Flame Fox Yoho,

* Vertus,

*Nacrasena,

 *Tytalos,

*Achates,

*Alberhastic

"As players proceed in their trip, we want them to ramp up into more tough and sophisticated stuff," the makers explain. "There's a lot of demanding upcoming tier-three stuff that hasn't been incorporated into the Western distribution yet - keep tuned for our roadmap post, which will reveal what you can expect in the next months."

As stated by the developers, discussing the game difficulty in a game like Lost Ark is difficult because so much depends on player ability and suitable character builds. However, a pattern has emerged among these Tier 1 and Tier 2 content examples. Nerfs are being implemented to make it more enjoyable for the player community.
