The involvement and participation of females in esports scenarios is a budding phenomenon in today’s times. The leading esports organization from Dubai, Galaxy Racer has taken a step ahead in this direction by launching an all-women brand, HER Galaxy for its newly expanded North America region.

Being one of the most popular esports organizations in the Middle East, Galaxy Racer is known for its presence in the region’s top games like League of Legends and World of Warcraft. The HER Galaxy brand is built to focus on the growth of a women-centric esports framework. This will not only aim at providing resources to boost an audience but will also cater to the financial needs to gain a foothold in the North American region. Though the names of the teams are not yet out, it confirmed the inclusion of four esports teams including two PC, one mobile, and another console in the brand.

Galaxy Racer is credited with running the first professional women League of Legends team in the Middle East. With the creation of HER Galaxy, the opportunity for female gamers in the region is deemed to swell. It will also cover the salaries of five players and one coach of the teams and bear their traveling, branding, and marketing costs. It will work for organizing women-only tournament series for three unannounced esports titles. This series will feature monthly online events leading to quarterly offline competitions for the top teams with assured prize pools. It branches out in the North American region with the promise to “develop the esports and gaming space into an inclusive, safe and exciting environment for women”.

This expansion will see the establishment of a new office in Los Angeles along with the appointment of the CEO of Galaxy Racer North America, Akemi Sue Fisher. Here’s what she said, “I am excited to join Galaxy Racer North America as the CEO, as Galaxy Racer expands into the region. Galaxy Racer is an undisputed world leader in esports, and their commitment to creating equal opportunities for gamers and nurturing women in esports is in direct alignment with my personal purpose to support women to build highly successful brands. Now, it's my honor to join Galaxy Racer in the mission of bridging the gender inequality gap in esports."

As rightly pointed out, the dynamics within the esports industry will witness a transition in the way women are associated with professional gaming as more organizations come up with such initiatives
