Garena Free Fire is an Android and iOS Battle Royale game created by 111 dots Studio and released by Garena. In 2019, it became the most downloaded smartphone game in the world. Free Fire set a new record in August 2021, with over 150 million daily active users around the world. Free Fire has generated over $1 billion globally as of November 2019.

Garena Free Fire, sometimes known as just Free Fire, surged in popularity after its introduction in December 2017 and hasn't slowed down since. Free Fire reached 500 million downloads on the Google Play Store alone in February of this year.

Garena's Android and iOS game Free Fire has apparently maintained its dominance in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and India. "Free Fire, according to App Annie (global analytics and market data provider), continued to be the highest-grossing mobile game in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and India for the first quarter of 2021," according to Sea Limited's first-quarter reports (ended March 31, 2021) - Garena's parent company. According to the research, Free Fire has held the top spot in Latin America and Southeast Asia for seven consecutive quarters, with the same run continuing in India for the last two quarters.

According to reports Garena, Free Fire had 34 million installs within October. India accounted for 30% of the total downloads, while Brazil accounted for 12%. Free Fire has over one billion downloads on the Play Store and is presently the most popular game in India, according to the 'Top Grossing' list.

With 1.23 billion hours streams in 2021, Garena Free Fire was the third most-streamed game, after only League of Legends and Grand Theft Auto V. In addition, it was the most-streamed smartphone game. With the restriction in place in India, the popularity of the game for live streaming is in jeopardy.
