The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition was originally planned to start on June 9, 2020 and end on June 14. However, today, Valve announced its delay, it has been postponed to start on June 16, 2020 and end on June 22. EA also has a similar event that reveals new information about upcoming EA games called the EA Play Live. However, a new Tweet from the official Twitter page of Electronic Arts (@EA), confirms that it is also getting postponed. It has now been postponed to June 18, 2020 4PM PDT / 7PM EDT. The official page for EA Play Live has also been updated with new dates and a countdown.
Due to the recent tragic incident regarding the death of George Floyd, several gaming companies have been postponing their events. A few days ago, we heard about the Cyberpunk NightCity Wire getting delayed. Now, Steam and Electronic Arts seem to be doing the same.
