The story from the Season of Heritage event continues. Arlo from Team GO Rocket was able to successfully steal the power of the mysterious door and he has created Apex Shadow Lugia and Apex Shadow Ho-Oh. During the Pokemon GO Tour: Johto, trainers will have to defeat these two Pokemons to have a chance to catch them. 

These two Pokemons will only be available for trainers who had bought the ticket for the Pokemon GO Tour: Johto’s Special Research. By completing this research, they can unlock a new Masterwork Research line. It will take them some time for trainers to complete this line and they will also be able to encounter both of these Legendary Shadow Pokemons. 

Pokemon GO Tour: Johto event

Pokemon GO Tour: Johto will be held on 26th February and will feature two different versions of the ticketed experience for the trainers. These will be Gold version and Silver version. Each version will have its own version-exclusive Pokemons available, an increased chance for encountering certain Pokemons, and a chance to encounter a certain brand new Shiny Pokemon for the first time in Pokemon GO. After picking a version, trainers cannot change their choice.

During the Pokemon GO Tour Johto event, all of those Johto region Pokemons will be appearing in the wild, in raids, in encounters after research tasks, attracted to Incense, hatching from Eggs, available for trading via friends, or will be obtainable via Evolution during this time.

Trainers will also be able to receive the following exclusive items on completing their research tasks:

• Ho-Oh Wings
• Lugia Mask
• Ho-Oh T-Shirt in the Gold version or Lugia T-Shirt in the Silver version

Ticket holders will be able to obtain both Apex Shadow Lugia and Apex Shadow Ho-Oh regardless of which version they select for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto.

Pokemon GO Tour Johto: Apex Shadow Ho-Oh

Apex Shadow Ho-Oh will know the Sacred Fire+ move which is a stronger version of Sacred Fire.

• Trainer Battles: 130 power
• Gyms and raids: 135 power

After defeating and catching Apex Shadow Ho-Oh, trainers can purify it. Then, its Sacred Fire+ will change into a more powerful Sacred Fire++.

• Trainer Battles: 130 power
• Gyms and raids: 155 power

Pokemon GO Tour Johto: Apex Shadow Lugia

Apex Shadow Lugia will know the Aero Blast+ move which is a stronger version of Aero Blast.

• Trainer Battles: 170 power
• Gyms and raids: 200 power

After defeating and catching Apex Shadow Lugia, trainers can purify it. Then, its Aero Blast+ will change into a more powerful Aero Blast++.

• Trainer Battles: 170 power
• Gyms and raids: 225 power
