The Pokemon GO team has announced that the next season of the GO Battle League will differ from the regular Seasonal formats. The dev team will be focusing on making some adjustments to the GO Battle League in the upcoming season. Thus, to prevent any large disruptions from happening to the trainer ratings, many changes have been made. Here are the details of this announcement.

Pokemon GO Battle League: Seasonal duration

Previously, the current Season 10 was about to end on 28th February. But now, the end date of the ongoing Pokemon GO Battle League Season 10 will be extended until 1st March till 01:00 PM (GMT -8). After the current season ends, the next Season 11 will also begin immediately from 1st March at 01:00 PM (GMT -8). The GO Battle League Season 11 will also run concurrently with the next in-game Season until 1st June at 01:00 PM (GMT -8). Moreover, the Pokemon GO Battle League seasons will also run concurrently with in-game Seasons as we move forward in 2022.

Pokemon GO Battle League: Season 11 changes

The following changes will be made for the Pokemon GO Battle League Season 11.

• The trainer rankings will be capped at Rank 20, and there will also be no visible ratings available in this season.
• The Cups will rotate weekly and also will feature re-runs of former special cup tournaments.
• The dev team will use the GO Battle League Season 11 to test some possible new formats for GO Battle Days and their reward structures.
• As the World Championship Series circuit will begin soon, the attack changes or attack availability updates, that are viewed at the beginning of most GO Battle League seasons, will not be made in order to maintain stability for Pokemon Battles.
• The trainer rankings for Pokemon GO Battle League Season 10 will be used to determine early registration eligibility for the upcoming Pokemon GO World Championship Series.

These changes are being made to accommodate the selections for the upcoming Pokemon GO World Championship Series, as well as trying out some new formats for the League system. It looks like the dev team wants to change the GO Battle League in the future to make it more engaging for the Pokemon GO trainers.
