Crucible is a 2020, free to play, third-person PvP action shooter developed by Relentless Studios, a subsidiary of Amazon Game Studios. During TwitchCon September 2016, Amazon Game Studios announced its first three PC games: Breakaway, Crucible, and New World. It is also the first PC title released by the developers. It was released on 21 May, 2020 for PC and was available to download on Steam. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the launch was not known by many. Here is the Steam link:

In the recent Developer update: June 4, 2020, Colin Johanson, Franchise Leader of Relentless Games announced that they will be removing two game modes from Crucible. The two game modes that are getting removed are the Alpha Hunter and Harvest Command. Firstly, it will be the Alpha Hunter mode that is going to be removed. Then after some time when new changes have been made to the game, the Harvest Command will also be removed. The Heart of the Hives will be the only mode available in the game then, which is also the most played game mode.

Colin Johanson, Franchise Leader of Relentless Games, says that they are going to focus Heart of the Hives, as they believe that focusing on the most played game mode will be the most beneficial. Focusing on one game mode, also allows them to improve it to its best while being able to work on other quality of life changes. He admits that there are many things that need to be fixed and implemented before starting the first season. He says during pre-season, most of the core features would be added and overall game quality would be improved. He also says that Season 1 won’t begin until they and the community feel that the game is ready for its first season. Here is the link to the full video:
