In order to ease the gameplay experience for both PC players and mobile players, the Genshin Impact developers have decided to add an interesting feature. This new feature will be released on the 14th of February, 2022 that is before the release of 2.5 updates. This new feature uses the pre-installation function. The Genshin Impact 2.5 update is surely surprising us with interesting things even before its actual release. This will make the update process of the game a lot faster and smoother. Genshin Impact: Pre-Installation feature

Even though the feature is the same for both the PC and Mobile versions of the game, it will work in a slightly different way. As for mobile players, travelers can get to the setting menu from the Paimon menu in-game. Next, in settings, they can go to the ‘other’ option. There you can find the Pre-Install Resource Package option as shown in the image below.

This option will also be available in the starting menu of the game on the left bottom side. Also do note that while downloading the resources, the mobile players will not be able to play the game.

Now moving on to the PC players, they will first need to update the Genshin Impact launcher. Once updated, the players will see a Pre-installation option next to the Launch button. They can use that button to pre-install the latest resources of the game.
