It was just like a week back when a serious security exploit was discovered in Dark Souls 3. This security exploit is was quite a major one, and it allowed hackers to gain access to the player’s computers. The servers of all the Dark Souls games were taken down, only the PC servers, as this was a PC-exclusive exploit. Console servers stayed up and running. However, the PC servers were disabled, and they were supposed to stay disabled until further updates from Bandai Namco. However, now it seems that the PC servers are not going to be enabled any time soon. And, they will only be enabled after Elden Ring launches on February 25, 2022.

So, it seems that the earliest you can expect Dark Souls PC servers to be re-enabled is March 2022. In a new tweet, Bandai Namco has provided detailed information on this matter. The tweet states that they are actively working towards fixing this exploit, and also making sure that Elden Ring does not fall a victim to the same exploit. So, there is a lot of work to be done, and they need time for that. So, the PC servers for Dark Souls games will only be enabled back, after Elden Ring releases on February 25, 2022. The tweet also mentions that the team is trying to get it fixed as soon as it can.

So, yeah, if you were expecting Dark Souls PC servers to be reactivated soon, it seems that you would have to wait for that. Well, fortunately, Elden Ring is just like two weeks away from now, once that releases, we should be seeing Dark Souls servers back up soon.
