Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle multiplayer mode has had its fair share of issues for quite some time now. This includes large parties getting into games, and also several instances in which when they manage to get in, they end up getting disconnected. To fix these issues a patch was released by the devs. However, unfortunately, it seems that these updates had no effect on the issues. And, the issues are still present in the game.

This patch was released today itself, and the patch notes said that it will be bringing minor service adjustments to improve Big Team Battle matchmaking. However, from what we are seeing, it does not seem that the changes are evident, well it is too minor you can say, I guess.

Brian Jarrard, Community Director at 343 Industries (developer of Halo Infinite), tweeted saying that it seems that the hotfix that got released does not seem to have fixed the issues, and did not have the outcome that they expected it to produce. According to him, minor improvements have been made to matchmaking, but overall, the matchmaking issues are still there. However, he does say that the team is still continuing to work towards fixing these issues.

Well, damn... today's BTB hotfix does not appear to be the outcome we expected. There are minor improvements, but overall matchmaking issues are still occurring. Thanks to the folks who have been working hard and we're sorry this didn't quite get the job done. Work continues. https://t.co/lKiFibBDtT

So, in case, you are still facing this issue, know that it is not a problem with your or your party’s internet connection, but rather the game itself. Several users on Reddit, and Twitter already posted confirming that they are having these issues. Furthermore, to make things worse, some are also saying that with this new hotfix, there are random bursts of la and also the inability to connect to game servers at times. So, not only did it not fix the issue for them, but also made it worse in a way.

Although the team is working towards a new hotfix, there is no date given out yet. So, we cannot comment on when these issues will be fixed. However, it might be a while, as the team expected this hotfix to fix the issues, and since it did not, they would have to see what went wrong, and then make a hotfix accordingly. So, waiting is all that we could do for now.
