In Call of Duty: Vanguard, the players would be playing as a specific operator every game. This is something that has been similar since a number of previous Call of Duty games now. Anyway, just as you would expect each of these operators have a different backstory, and plot. Now, Sledgehammer Games, the developer has revealed official bios for four of these characters, or rather operators. Although you have to pick operators in the multiplayer modes, it seems that two out of these four operators also play crucial roles in the main campaign.

Firstly, it is Arthur Kingnsley. Kingsley is the protagonist of Vanguard’s campaign. But, who is he? Well, Arthur is defined as a special forces soldier who was born in Cameroon, and got his education in England. He enlisted in the army during World War II as a paratrooper. According to the developer, this was the first character that the studio made for Vanguard.

The next operator is from India. It is Padmavati Balan, and she is a multiplayer-only operator. According to the bio that Sledgehammer published, she is a fierce soldier who is experienced in jungle warfare, and also is a battle-weary nurse. Furthermore, she also loves to perform poetry and music. Sledgehammer also says that Padamavati dreams of an India whose fate is determined by the people’s will living there, and is convinced that one day, they will prevail.

After her, it is Polina Petrova. Polina is also an operator that appears in the main campaign. However, Polina Petrova is a Russian Sniper, and according to  Sledgehammer, over the course of Vanguard’s story, she would be transforming from a nurse to a fearsome soldier that will be feared by the Nazis, and at the same time, celebrated by her fellow soldiers.

And, the last one is Daniel Take Yatsu. Daniel is a Japanese-American sniper. He has mixed feelings about the war, as his family along with other citizens of Japan, had been forced to live in internment camps in the US during the war. He was drafted into the war, like most American-Japanese people and were fighting for a country that does not consider them as equals. For these reasons his feelings about the war, and the nation are quite muddled. However, one thing for sure is that he fights to protect his fellow soldiers, and hopes that America would one day be the ideal nation one day.

These are only four of the operator bios, and there are going to be a lot more of them in the game, and new operators will also be added with future updates.
