It seems that Halo: Infinite will be having LAN support. When it comes to multiplayer games, LAN is not something you get to see much of, if any these days. However, it seems just like some of the very first Halo games, Halo: Infinite will also be having an option to play in LAN. 343 Industries has recently posted a video on what the team is doing regarding the upcoming Halo: Infinite. It covers lots of information regarding the development for the PC port of Halo: Infinite.

It shows the various things that 343 Industries is specifically working on for the PC port. This includes options such as adjustable visual settings, minimum, maximum, uncapped frame rates, and lots of other PC-exclusive features as well, such as ultrawide resolutions, etc. However, one thing that definitely got my attention is the option to play in LAN, and that also with crossplay. Yes, there will be a LAN crossplay feature available on Halo: Infinite.

Check out the PC overview video for yourself here:

So, the players would be able to use their personal Pc to setup up LAN parties. And, since the game has native support for crossplay, you can have a crossplay-capable LAN party set up directly from your PC.

Principal software engineering lead, Mike Romero says that people of his age who played Halo back in the day grew up with LAN parties. He desperately wanted to have a LAN party with his friends in Halo: Infinite when the game goes live. Other than LAN parties, another thing that will greatly improve the matchmaking is that there are separate queues depending upon the type of controls. So, gamepads, and keyboard/mouse users will have a different queue. So, there will be no one complaining regarding aim assist or unfair advantage.

Halo Infinite is set to release just a month and two weeks away from today, to be precise, it is releasing on December 8, 2021. And, fans of the series are definitely excited for its release. Halo games have always offered an excellent single-player, and multiplayer gaming experience. From the looks of it, it seems that Halo Infinite will also be doing that, and hopefully even better than any Halo game ever.
