PUBG Global Championship 2021: Format and schedule
Teams from outside the event region will be invited to compete in Paradise City Studio in Incheon, Korea, in a LAN/Online hybrid competition similar to the PGI.S. Due to health and safety measurements derived from the COVID pandemic, teams representing China, Japan, and APAC will compete online at a LAN venue in each of their respective countries.

Rank Determination
During the first week of the event, a series of preliminary matches will be held to determine which 16 teams will fight in the inaugural Weekly Survival. All 32 teams will be divided into four groups of eight, with each team playing four matches per day in a round-robin format to determine their starting position. The Top 16 teams will begin the 1st Weekly Survival, while the 17th through 31st teams will be placed on a waitlist for the 1st Weekly Survival, and the last place team will be eliminated from Weekly Survival and placed in the Bottom 16 Stage.

Weekly Survival
16 Weekly Survival matches will be played over three days and three weeks in this stage. The Weekly Finals will be held for all teams that obtain a Chicken Dinner.
Meanwhile, the next team in line from the Bottom 16 waiting list will join the remaining 15 teams from each lobby, with the winners being replaced by the next ranked team from the Rank Decision weekend.

This method will be continued until the Weekly Finals are filled with 16 different teams.

Weekly Finals
Over the course of two days, a total of ten matches will be contested. The winner of each Weekly Final (a total of three teams) will be assured a position in the Grand Final.
The top 9 teams with the most points throughout the course of all three weeks of the Weekly Finals will also compete in the Grand Final.

The remaining teams who did not advance to the Grand Final will compete in the Grand Survival, which will fill the remaining Grand Final berths with teams that win a Chicken Dinner in each of its four matchups.

Grand Final
The 16 eligible teams will participate in a three-day event with a 15-match schedule, with the final rankings determined by the SUPER Point Rule, which includes both placing and kill points. The team with the most points at the end of all matches will be proclaimed the tournament champion and the Grand Champion of the PGC 2021. In terms of the tournament's timetable, it has been confirmed that it will take place between November and December.

Prize pool and how to watch
The prize pool for the event has yet to be released, however, Krafton, Inc. has confirmed that 32 teams will compete for an initial prize pool of more than $2 million USD. This prize pool will be supplemented by 30% of the profit made from PGC item sales in the in-game store, allowing clubs to benefit from the support of their fans.
