Destiny 2 Witch Queen is the upcoming expansion for Destiny 2. Beyond Light came back in November 2020, and now the next expansion is Witch Queen. Anyway, the Witch Queen showcase just took place just some hours back, and it is bringing a lot of new content to the game. However, among all of the new stuff that is being added to the game, one of the most interesting things that we got to know is the concept of Hive Guardians.

For those of you who have played Destiny games might be confused that what do we mean by Hive guardians. After all, Hive is the enemy of the guardians right? Well, in the Witch Queen expansion, Savathûn has managed to control the light in a way that the Hive would be able to harness the power of the Light using their own version of Ghost. Not only are they immortal thanks to the Ghost, but are also capable of using Light powers such as the solar, arc, and void powers that the guardians use. And, to kill them, you would have to destroy their ghosts as well.

We never ever thought that the Hive would be able to use the power of the Light, however, with the Witch Queen expansion, it seems that it is something that will be very much possible. Being a Destiny 2 player, I was very much excited about this showcase. And, I was not disappointed at all. Bungie has a lot of things planned for Destiny 2, and all of it looks good. I am very much excited about how the new expansion’s campaign will be, and what new things will we be learning about the Witch Queen, Savathûn. And, obviously, the new destination of Destiny 2 seems very exciting as well. The new destination will be the Throne World of Savathûn.

So, will these Hive Guardians be powerful? Well, obviously, they are literally having the power of the Worms, and the Light as well. Thanks to the latter, they are not only immortal but also have the ability to use Light powers just like the Guardians. I am really excited to see how it would be fighting against these Hive Guardians in Witch Queen expansion. However, there are around six months left for that to happen, as Witch Queen is set to release on February 22, 2022.
