Saints Row games are something that many of you might have heard of. It is just like GTA, but its on steroids and has lots of crazy sci-fi stuff in it. But, overall, its a great game and will be loved by those who enjoy playing, story-based, open world, third person shooting games. Anyway, the last Saints Row game, Saints Row IV was released back in 2013, and after that, all we got was a remaster for Saints Row The Third that got released back in May 2020. So, there has not been a new Saints Row game in quite a while. But, now it seems that that is about to change. In the Gamescom live stream next week, there is going to be an announcement for a new Saints Row game.

If you open the Saints Row official website, you would be greeted with a large brick wall that has “rebooting” written on it. This definitely leads us to believe that something new is going to be happening with the Saints Row franchise. Furthermore, according to a new tweet from Geoff Keighley, it is now pretty much confirmed that there will be a new Saints Row game that is going to be announced in this Gamescom. For those of you who are unaware, Geoff Keighley is hosting Gamescom’s opening livestream, the very stream on which the announcement for the new Saints Row game will be taking place.

The word, rebooting, made a lot of people think that the game is going to be a remaster of the older games. However, the Saints Row Twitter account has confirmed that it will not be the case. It is going to be a completely brand new Saints Row game, and not a remaster or a remake.

As of now, not much is known about what to expect from the new Saints Row game. However, more would be definitely revealed about it in the upcoming Gamescom live stream that will be happening on August 25, 2021. All of this sounds pretty exciting, after all, the last Saints Row game that we got was technically back in 2013 with Saints Row IV. Saints Row The Third Remastered did get released in 2020, however, that was just a remaster. So, it would be really interesting to see what this new Saints Row game has in store for us.
