Mortal Shell is a souls-like action role playing game that was released back in August 2020. However, on its release, it was an Epic Games Store exclusive title. But, now that it’s almost a year old, it seems that it will be made available on Steam as well. Not only will it be made available on Steam, but with it, we would also be getting a DLC for the game. The Mortal Shell listing was made on Steam, and it also contains the date on which the game would be up for grabs on Steam. According to the new listing, it would be made available for purchase on Steam at around 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST on August 18.

So, that is barely a day from now, well, even less than 24 hours to be exact from the time I am writing this article. Anyway, the interesting thing here is that at the time when the game will be made available on Steam, the new DLC for the game, The Virtuous Cycle will also be made available. Another interesting thing here is that if you get the game on Steam within the first few days after it is made available there, you would also get the DLC for absolutely free.

So, when does Mortal Shell become up for grab on Steam? Well, according to the Steam page, it will be made available at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST on August 18, 2021. And, that is also the same time at which the DLC, The Virtuous Cycle will be made available. However, one thing to note here is that this is just an approximation. We do not know for certain if it will be at this very certain time, but it should be around that. And, as said before, the DLC will be free if you get the game on Steam during the first five days of its arrival. If you have the game, then the DLC will be free to download till August 22, 2021. Once that period is over, it will be up for sale at its original price, 7.99$.

So, it turns out that this is a great opportunity for those who were planning to buy Mortal Shell. In case you do not trust Epic Games and want to get it on  Steam specifically, you can do that now. And, if you do it, in the first few days, you would also be able to get the new DLC  for free.
