Rainbow Six: Siege’s new Season/Operation, Operation Crystal Guard is just around the corner. And, now, Ubisoft has officially announced some information about this latest update, pertaining to the new operator that we are getting. Just a few days ago, we talked about the announcement of the Operation Crystal Guard, and now we already have more official information. So, without any further ado, let’s get straight to what we know of the new operator coming to Rainbow Six: Siege.

The new operator for Rainbow Six: Siege will be called Osa. But, what does Osa do? After all, the abilities are what differentiate the operators. Well, it seems that Osa will be having a really unique ability. She will be having a gadget that is made out of bulletproof glass, like Mira. However, from her lore, it seems that she will not be a defender. Although her ability seems like that of a defender, she will instead be an attacker. According to the reveal trailer, we see Osa blocking up a window using her bulletproof shield. However, although bulletproof, once this glass is shot at, it will become opaque. We also see her placing a small robot toy near the shield. We do not know what is the purpose of this toy, but I guess more would be revealed later. As for the glass gadget, it can be deployed in the doors and windows.

It would be really interesting to see how her abilities actually work in sync with other attackers, as she is an attacker herself. However, all we have as of now is just a reveal trailer for the operator. The full reveal will be happening later this week on August 16, 2021. In the full reveal, we definitely expect to see some gameplay with this new operator Osa. What I am more interested in is seeing how her glass shield actually affects the gameplay. But, for that, I would definitely have to wait. Gladly, it is only a few days from now. So, not that long of a wait. Till then, this is all we have for Osa, the new attacker coming to Rainbow Six: Siege with her unique bulletproof glass gadget.
