There is big news on offer from Nintendo and they have announced the holding of a new Maximus Cup
event in Tetris 99 right this weekend. The competition starts today and runs right up to August 9th. As a
gaming fan if you participate there is scope to unlock a brand new game theme. It is based on the recently
released The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD.
The events unfolding this weekend will have plenty of similarities to previous Maximus Cups and one
can say right at the start that the event is point-based. A player will earn points based on the fact of how
well he/she will place each round with the Skyward Sword theme unlocking. A player will need to amass
100 points in total. The base of the theme is Skyward Sword's key art and there is music, sound effects
from the game playing as you compete. 
There is surely a specific timing allocated for the event to begin. It commences at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET
on August 6 and runs until 11:59 PM PT on August 9 at 2:59 AM ET on August 10. There are extensive
details on the event published on the Nintendo website. Players who have a Nintendo Switch Online
membership are welcome to participate and this is the 23rd Maximus Cup. 
A Nintendo Switch Online subscriber can look forward to participating in the Tetris 99 for free. It is easy
because one can download it and play it. The intention should be to rotate and move falling blocks
referred to asTetriminos to complete horizontal lines. The completed lines disappear and it creates space
for more Tetriminos, which now fall fast. 
It is free to download game undoubtedly, but one will need to pay up for the subscription charges. The
monthly quote for an individual membership is USD 4. Fans can also book a three months membership
for USD 8. The quote for an annual plan is $20USD and Nintendo also offers a USD 35 annual family
plan. Fans who book under the annual family plan can cover right up to up to eight Nintendo Accounts. It
