The developers of Farming Simulator 22 have published a new official blog post offering a close look at the production chains. These interdependent product chains are a new feature that QA Lead Ken Burgess and gameplay programmer Marius Hofman had already presented at FarmCon.

The official blog post demonstrates the production chains of Farming Simulator 22 using the example of the flour mill. It used to be the place to sell wheat. Now it is a freely placeable production facility. If the player has a piece of land, he can build the flour mill there too. After the harvest, the wheat can now also be transported to the mill so that it can be processed into flour there. The player then brings the flour to the bakery and there you can bake bread or cakes from it. Many production facilities offer different productions. There are also many options for resources, goods, and recipes.

Goods can also be stored in the production facilities. This is necessary if you want to make a product with many ingredients. For cakes, you need flour, eggs, sugar, milk, butter, and strawberries. All of these ingredients have to be harvested or partly produced by yourself. And then they have to be temporarily stored. The goods are then either sold through the production facility itself or it produces a whole range of goods that must then be delivered to a point of sale - this could be the local supermarket or the farmers' market. Players prevent a product jam by building several production facilities of the same type.

The production chains are still in development. Farming Simulator 22 should be available on November 22, 2021, for PC, Mac, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
