When it comes to Sci Fi horror games, there is one game that is known by almost everyone. It is Electronic Arts’ Dead Space. Over the years, Dead Space main franchise got three games with the first one released in 2008, and the last one, which is Dead Space 3 released in 2013. Now, after that there was not much in the pipeline regarding this game series. However, now, it is official that we are soon going to get a remake for Dead Space. There is even a teaser trailer for it. Check it out below:

During the EA Play livestream that took place recently,  EA revealed that it is indeed doing a remake for the first Dead Space game that got launched back in 2008. And, it is also being developed at EA Motive. Now, yes, that is not the same developer, Visceral Games that made the game originally. However, EA Motive has already proved its worth in other games such as Star Wars Battlefront 2, and Star Wars Squadron.

According to an interview with IGN, the developers at EA Motive confirm that the remake is going to be made completely from scratch using the Frostbite engine. There will be no assets taken from the old game, and enhanced according to today’s standards. Instead, it will be all made from scratch. So, in terms of what to expect, it can be said that it will all be very new yet old. As in, the game will follow the original closely, however, the textures and all will be completely new. So, it would be really interesting to see how it plays out.

From what we know so far, it seems that development is still at a very early stage. So, in terms of release, it can be safely said, that it is most definitely not releasing any time soon. The teaser trailer states that "atmospheric benchmark" for the studio to target. So, yes, we are really going to have to wait on this game.

As for the platforms, it will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. So, it will not be compatible on last-gen consoles either. This leads us to believe that the game is really going to impress us in regards to its visual quality, and graphics.
