This Week on Stadia, we have video games.

At the beginning of February, Google made public that there would be no new exclusive titles for its own streaming service Google Stadia. Rather, the focus is on the underlying technology for cloud computing and wants to develop it further. As a result, quite a few observers assume that Google will tend to neglect its own online service. In a current job advertisement, however, it reads completely differently. According to the article, Google wants to turn billions of people into gamers with Stadia.

Broader device support is coming for Google Stadia
So far, Google Stadia can only be used on selected devices. In addition to Android smartphones, this includes the use of Stadia via Google Chrome on the PC and via the web browser on the iPhone. On the TV, you could only use the streaming service with the Google Chromecast Ultra. Google has only been offering the necessary Stadia app on Nvidia Shield TV, on older Chromecast models, and on selected Android TVs since June 23. In order to be able to reach even more players in the future, Google wants and must increase the number of supported devices. The product manager sought in the job offer should take care of bringing Google Stadia to other devices.

However, the fact remains that with Google Stadia you first have to buy all the games in the Stadia Store before you can then stream the titles over the internet on Android, iOS, PC, Mac, and Chromecast. However, subscribers to the paid Stadia Pro get free games every month. Google is proceeding in the same way as established subscription models such as Xbox Live Gold or Playstation Plus. It is not possible to play the same game on several devices at the same time.
