Dead By Daylight is almost 5 years old now. However, even to this date, it continues to be one of the most popular horror, survival games around. One of the most important reasons for this has to be the number of updates it gets. These updates bring new playable characters, maps, etc. Furthermore, it also has various collaborations, or crossovers with some popular horror movie series as well. The most recent crossover is that with Resident Evil.

Thanks to this, the concurrent player count has now hit over 100,000, 105,093 players to be precise. Such a large concurrent player count is a big achievement for any game. And, when you consider that it is achieved by a game that came out almost 5 years ago, it becomes even more commendable. Furthermore, the game also had its fifth anniversary. Just a few days after that, on June 30, 2021, this concurrent player count was recorded. The anniversary also added loads of stuff for the players. However, the main reason which attributed to this is the 500,000 free Bloodpoints that are being awarded to every player who logs in during the event. So, if you are after some free points, do log in. That’s not all. There is also 9000 Iridescent Shards to claim. It can be claimed over a series of login rewards during the first seven days of this event.

For those of you who are unaware, just a few weeks ago, Dead By Daylight X Resident Evil crossover took place. And, with it, we got three new playable characters. This includes two survivors, Jill Valentine, and Leon Leon Scott Kennedy, and the Nemesis as its newest Killer. Furthermore, it also brought the Racoon City Police Station as a new map. So, overall there is a lot of new content that is now available. However, the crossover being with one of the most popular series of horror-survival movies and games, definitely brought a lot of hype with it. That is also one of the factors for this high concurrent player count.
