Battlefield 3: Classic shooter gets Battle Royale mode via Mod

Battlefield 3 from DICE and Electronic Arts, which is now around 10 years old, is receiving a new multiplayer game mode from fans that is based on the "Firestorm" from Battlefield 5. Battlefield 3 actually comes from the factory without the possibility of extensive modifications to the game, but thanks to the modding tools called "Venice Unleashed" (VU), which were unofficially developed at the end of last year, fans and hobby developers now have completely new possibilities regarding the redesign of DICE's classic shooter. The third main part of the popular game series is known to be one of the best representatives for many fans and so, given the modding options that are now available, it does not seem particularly surprising that the modding community has now added new content for Battlefield 3 come in addition. Battlefield 3: Battle Royale Mod This includes, for example, a newly launched Battle Royale mod for Battlefield 3 by several participating hobby developers on its own Github.io website, where the first images, videos and an explanation in the form of a developer diary were given. There are also a few impressions in the picture gallery below. The implementation has been underway since the beginning of the year, those involved are modifying the map "Kiasar Railroad" to an "Extended" version, adding a transport plane for the players to take off and setting the closing "death ring" as one would also from the modern "Firestorm" mode of Battlefield 5 knows. Also included is a ping system for easy communication, a revised user interface and an inventory system for collecting weapons and equipment during the game, as is typical of the genre. It is not yet known when the mod will ultimately be finished and made available to the public. However, the makers are already planning a test run for a small group of players.
