Overwatch fans can be excited because after a long wait this game is finally getting a cross-play across
PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. This should unite the gaming community and a significant
update is that there is now much shorter matchmaking time for players. The system is simple for players
who intend to participate in this game now.  We are here with the details for fans and the process is
simple.
A player will need to connect his/her account and that could be Xbox, Nintendo, or PSN to the Battle net.
It is once a player connects, it allows him/her to group up with friends irrespective of platform for Quick
Play, Arcade, and Custom games. There is scope for console players across Xbox, PlayStation, and
Switch to participate in competitive matches together. We would also like to say that players have the
scope to opt-out of cross-play if they desire.
The cross-play launch is surely an exciting development for fans, but that is not all. It is at the same time
there is the launch of the limited-time Ashe's Deadlock Challenge. This is the other interesting
development and this challenge offers rewards to fans both watching and participating in Overwatch.
Here is the first reward to pick up as you play 27 games during the challenger edition. There is scope to
pick up a new Legendary Ashe and B.O.B. skin. Is the thought of having to participate in 27 games
sounding a bit taxing?  It will not be so as we offer you more details. If you can win a game, it will be
counted as two matches played. There is also the scope to watch six hours of Overwatch on Twitch. This
should help in scoring some new sprays.
There has also been a new Ashe-focused Overwatch novel from renowned author Lyndsay Ely released
on June 1st. It is titled “Deadlock Rebels” and the book deals with the founding of the game. It offers
insights into the origins of both characters Ashe and McCree. Here is an insight into what you can expect
in the book.
Ashe faces arrest on the morning of her high school graduation and her old money parents decide to
disinherit her from the family fortunes. She teams up with her buttler and local ruffian McCree to claim,
what is rightfully hers. This dangerous alliance plans a series of heists. It is all along the way Ashe learns
that families are not just about blood relations. It is about people who support you when you have backs
to the wall.
