Mortal Kombat tournament announced: To gather funds for United Nations Foundation

Pro Mortal Kombat players along with several other streamers and franchises are set to host a 16 player tournament to help combat the corona virus pandemic and which would help in raising money for the United Nations Foundation. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros recently revealed the Kombat for a Kause week-long charity event is scheduled to take place all throughout next week and feature some actors from Mortal Kombat 11 and other celebrities joining in on the fighting game action. This event will be taking place from 20-26 th April 2020 and the tournament has been officially named as "Kombat For a Kause". 
Sonya Blade's voice actor from MK11, pro wrestler and former MMA star Ronda Rousey, will be among those participating in the event and Dimitri “Vegas” Thivaios, who received a special Sub-Zero skin in Mortal Kombat 11, is also set to take part, alongside Jay and Silent Bob star Jason Mewes. Other guests who will be a part of the tournament are to be announced later on. The whole program will be live stream-ed on Mortal Kombat's official facebook page and is expected to gather an amount of support which will in turn be helpful to fight the global pandemic.

What is the schedule?


The tournament kicks off Monday 20th April at 11am PT/6pm GMT, with each subsequent stream kicking off daily at the same time across the week.
The finals take place Sunday 26th April. We’ll update this page with timings if they change.
