Details of For Honor's upcoming Halloween in-game event, which draws inspiration from Destiny 2, have been made public. Despite its initial release in 2017, Ubisoft Montreal's action-packed game For Honor is still getting fresh feature updates.

Since its debut, For Honor has merged with a number of other properties, most notably Assassin's Creed and Dead by Daylight. Given that Ubisoft continues to add new material to the game on a very frequent basis for a game of its age, it has been intriguing to see what will come next. Ubisoft even made a For Honor cooperative mode available for free earlier this year, providing both new and experienced gamers with a distinctive PvE experience.

The trailer for the upcoming Destiny 2 crossover been released by For Honor, and it looks fantastic. It foreshadows the idea of the entire series, which is an invasion of the Destiny Scorn in the world of For Honor. Although it doesn't make much sense lore-wise for either franchise, it's so awesome that it's easy to overlook. A number of Guardian skins that appear to be usable in For Honor are also shown off in the teaser. Any interested players will have plenty of opportunity to participate in the For Honor fun during the event, which is called Light of the Guardians, which runs from 24th October to 14th November.

It's worth mentioning that For Honor is only $4.49 on Steam thanks to an 85% discount that runs through 28th October. Although the pricing of Ubisoft's PvP sword battle game isn't the lowest it has ever been, it's still affordable enough to suggest playing while the Destiny 2 crossover event is going on. With a 24-hour peak (as of writing) of 4,569 and crossplay allowed, it still has a rather active community on Steam. Finding a game shouldn't be difficult for players, and once the Destiny 2 Halloween event gets underway, it will only get busier.

When a developer decides to keep updating their live service game for so long, it's usually a little unexpected, especially if the game in question is a huge hit. It would have been simple for Ubisoft to release a follow-up game, or perhaps two, to For Honor, but instead they continue to improve the original game. It remains one of the top medieval PvP games available today, and hopefully the company will continue to make it for a very long time.
