The confirmed release date for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC is 30th January, 2025. Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which debuted last year, saw the return of famous villains like Venom and Kraven the Hunter along with Peter Parker and Miles Morales as playable characters in a darker storyline. Insomniac carried on their open-world superhero tale with this game. Upon its release, Spider-Man 2 garnered both critical and commercial praise. It was praised for improving upon the gameplay of Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which were huge hits for the PlayStation.
Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales eventually found their way onto PCs through developer Nixxes Software, who has handled comparable versions of games like Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut and the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. This is similar to several recent first-party PlayStation releases. A lot of fans assumed Spider-Man 2 would follow suit eventually, especially considering Sony's history of bringing PC titles out a few years after PlayStation releases.
It is now official: Nixxes will once more take on porting responsibilities for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in association with Insomniac, and the game will launch on PC on 30th January, 2025. The revelation was revealed during New York Comic Con 2024, where a short clip showcasing the plot and gameplay of Spider-Man 2 was shown. More information will be released later. According to a post on PlayStation, Julian Huijbregts, the community manager for Nixxes, expressed excitement about introducing last year's hit to a larger audience with new features including improved ray-tracing options.
The PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will arrive in two editions. The first version is the Standard Edition, which includes all of the post-launch content that has been made available, including New Game Plus, as well as a variety of accessibility tools including screen readers and audio explanations. It also includes the full version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Next is the Spider-Man 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, which comes with more skill points at the beginning of the game, early access to things like Miles's Shadow-Spider costume and Peter's Arachknight suit, and DLC suits for both Peter and Miles.
When Spider-Man 2 launched on the PlayStation 5 in October 2023, it was greeted with great reviews and soon rose to the top of the developer Insomniac's sales charts. With Spider-Man 2 coming to the PC, this success will probably increase since fans and modders may now play through the entire Insomniac Spider-Man story before Spider-Man 3 releases. Though the actual game won't be available for PC until a few more months, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 can already be added to wishlists on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
