At the time of publication, Diablo 4 was the second-most played game on Steam Deck and had broken the record for most active users on Steam. Since Diablo 4's June debut last year, the community has gone through both good and bad moments, resulting in a rollercoaster of emotions.
Players were mostly unhappy with the update and the live-service components of the game after the first Diablo 4 season, which was regarded as one of the most contentious episodes of the game's first year. Following that, Blizzard's action RPG encountered issues with bugs, contentious monetization, and a community irritated by the lack of some features or the overall direction of the game. After several months, Diablo 4 made a reappearance with the release of Season 4, which included new features like a significant overhaul to the itemization system and revitalized the player experience.
Two more noteworthy milestones have been attained by Diablo 4, one of which was surpassing its own record and accumulating 55,561 active players on Steam. A few days after the Vessel of Hatred DLC was released on 13th October, an astonishing amount of gamers registered, according to SteamDB. Compared to September, when there were 25,799 active players in the game, this is a gain of 115.4%. The previous record set on 3rd June, during the fourth season of the game, was 39,782 players.
With The Release Of Its First Expansion, Diablo 4 Is Given New Life.
The second significant achievement for Diablo 4 is that, based on the official rating, it rose to the position of second most played game on Steam Deck between October 9 and 15. The latest game from Persona's designers, Metaphor: ReFantazio, has taken the top spot in the rankings after Diablo 4 held the top spot until October 14. Stardew Valley and Baldur's Gate 3 are next on the list, coming in third and fourth after falling one and three spots, respectively. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the most recent game from Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco, completes the top five. Regarding the response from users of Valve's platform, 71% of all reviews are largely positive for Blizzard's game, despite the fact that the most recent reviews are conflicting.
The game's first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, which includes a new class called Spiritborn and a host of other new features, was released prior to the release of Diablo 4. The game's sixth season, which debuted with other equally thrilling content like new dungeons like the Kurast Undercity, Mercenary companions, new talents, and passives for Diablo 4's classes, preceded the milestones.
