With the release of NBA 2K25 Update 1.5, a number of community-reported bugs were fixed, primarily affecting the MyCareer and MyTeam game modes. Developer Visual Concepts is still adding updates to NBA 2K25 a few weeks after the game's official release on 6th September in order to address bugs and enhance the user experience.

The most recent iteration of the well-known basketball game, NBA 2K25, is released by 2K every year. NBA 2K25 improved upon NBA 2K24 in a number of ways, including player models and animations and the addition of the Dribble Engine, which gives players more control over how the ball moves. Ray tracing, which is now exclusive to The City, also improves the graphics and lighting in this new installment of the series. Finally, NBA 2K25 has enhanced the opponent AI for both offense and defense, providing players with an increased level of difficulty when playing the game alone.

Several flaws that customers had reported to Visual Concepts were resolved in NBA 2K25 Update 1.5, particularly with the well-liked MyCareer game mode. This update enhanced the reliability of this game mode and fixed a bug that hindered advancement in MyCareer during the offseason. Additionally, it eliminated a 1.5x REP advantage associated with particular clothing items in MyCareer, enabling players to level up more quickly and get higher prizes when donning these things.

NBA 2K25 Patch Notes For Update 1.5

  • Several hang and instability issues that users have experienced while playing in the City or MyCareer have been fixed.
  • Resolved a hang that certain users were observing while opening a MyCareer saving.
  • Resolved a bug that users have identified that hindered MyCareer development in the offseason.
  • Eliminated the 1.5x REP bonus that was mistakenly applied to some MyCareer apparel products.
  • Fixed a bug in MyTeam that permitted players to be substituted in positions where they were ineligible.

For those who want to play NBA 2K25 alone, MyCareer is one of the most played game modes. In order to get to the top of the league and ultimately win the NBA championship ring, players can designate their dream NBA player, decide on their position on the squad, and increase their numbers while competing. In NBA 2K25, players can further customize their gameplay experience by selecting their preferred jump shots and dunk types in addition to personalizing their avatar.

Although this latest installment in 2K's basketball series improved over the previous opus, some gamers expressed dissatisfaction with NBA 2K25, claiming it added nothing new to the franchise. Some NBA 2K25 players are not pleased with the shot meter and would rather use the outdated NBA 2K24 system than the new arrow meter. Others expressed dissatisfaction with Denuvo DRM, which reduced frame rates and impeded performance while attempting to prevent undesired game manipulation. Overall, reviews for NBA 2K25 were very positive, and the game's developer, Visual Concepts, continues to provide upgrades to enhance the basketball simulation.
