Bloodborne's PC emulation has advanced significantly since the game can now be played with full sound on the shadPS4 emulator. Bloodborne has finally been released on PC, much to the delight of Soulsborne fans who have been waiting a long time for the game's PC emulation to advance significantly.

The shadPS4 revived fan hopes for a Bloodborne PC adaptation, which had all but vanished. In an effort to pressure the devs to produce a PC version of Bloodborne, well-known Twitch streamer Kai Cenat also started a marathon live at the same time. The shadPS4 emulator appears to be well on pace to deliver Bloodborne to the PC, despite the fact that neither FromSoftware nor Sony have disclosed their plans for the game's PC release.

User iExplosiveRage recently disclosed on Twitter that the shadPS4 emulator has successfully overcome a significant obstacle in order to emulate Bloodborne on the PC. Although the shadPS4 emulator started the process of simulating Bloodborne on PC quite some time ago, it faced some problems. One of the main issues was the sound not functioning as it should have, and based on new video, it appears that most of those issues have been resolved.

The tweet goes on to say that a number of things, including the noises of the menu, characters, and enemies, appear to be functioning rather well, which was not the case in the past. Players will need to download a Bloodborne mod from Nexus Mods in order to fix the audio. There is a catch, though. Although it appears that the mod is now only compatible with English, its maker has promised that once they finish all of the sounds, they will work on other languages as well. Given that the complete sound bundle hasn't been patched yet, this probably also means that some noises might not function as intended.

Eagerly awaiting the resolution of the problems and the improvement of the emulation are the fans. In addition to allowing PC gamers to experience the game at last after over ten years of waiting, the emulation has revealed several of the game's mysteries. For example, a player discovered a proper shield in Bloodborne's files, which was completely absent from the game. It shouldn't come as a surprise when the game is finished in the upcoming months, given how quickly the development is moving along.
