One of the most formidable and vicious villains in the Marvel Universe, Doctor Doom appears to have already defeated a number of other comic book heroes during his most recent Fortnite tournament. Following Robert Downey Jr.'s announcement as the tyrant of Latveria and scourge of the multiverse in the film, MCU head Kevin Feige confirmed last week's D23 Fortnite livestream that Victor Von Doom would be the focus of Epic's upcoming Marvel crossover.

While fans await the arrival of Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, players of Fortnite are now engaged in combat with him and his army in the Chapter 5 Season 4 event "Absolute Doom." In the most recent episode of Fortnite, Doom has gained control over Pandora's box and enlisted the aid of legendary Marvel villains like Mysterio and Emma Frost to establish his rule over the island. Therefore, it is up to Fortnite's constantly expanding player base to put an end to them and free the island, although this might be easier said than done.

This is demonstrated with a brief visit to Doctor Doom's royal room, where it appears that he has stolen medals from several of Fortnite's Marvel superheroes. Of course, among those on exhibit are Doom's most despised foes, the Fantastic Four. One display case shows the Invisible Woman imprisoned, another shows the remnants of Mr. Fantastic wrapped into a ball, while a fireplace displays the Human Torch's heart being used as fuel. The Thing is the most horrific of them, as it appears like Doom's new throne has been fashioned from his corpse.

The X-Men's renowned adversary Magneto, who recently got praise for his own Fortnite skin, has a shattered helmet that is kept in one of Doom's display cases. The Fantastic Four aren't the only Marvel heroes that appear to have succumbed to Doom. A piece of the famous surfboard of the Silver Surfer is found in yet another. Galactus, the world-destroyer who formerly imperilled Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 4, is not immune to Doom's ferocious assault, as evidenced by his lifeless carcass protruding from the water.
