Respawn has admitted that there is an issue with cheating in Apex Legends. The acknowledgement follows harsh criticism from the community, who branded Apex Legends' developers as tone deaf for ignoring "real" problems in the game.

With upgrades meant to keep the action fresh, Apex Legends, a prominent participant in the Battle Royale arena, has managed to stay relevant. Five years into its lucrative run, the game is currently having issues. To urge the makers of Apex Legends to pay attention to their criticism, players have begun abandoning the game and writing unfavourable reviews on Steam. The recent development demonstrated the strategy's efficacy, and not just because the devs reversed the majority of the contentious Battle Pass modifications.

Steven Ferreira, the game director of Apex Legends, recognized the problems with cheating in the game in a recent interview with IGN. According to him, the community owns Apex Legends, and their efforts to add new events to the game do not imply that they are neglecting player-important problems. He clarifies that while cheating and maintaining competition integrity are constant concerns for them, there is no easy solution. He draws attention to their commitment to long-term projects that would serve as a more long-term repair rather than applying a band-aid fix.

The Director of Apex Legends Is Devoted To Improving Fan Communication

He also admitted that they made a mistake in releasing the contentious Apex Legends Battle Pass updates too soon due to a lack of communication. This choice, which could have been avoided with a more deliberate approach and better fan feedback rather than relying solely on the data, caused a reaction in the community.

This is related to the developers' promise to communicate with fans more in the future. According to the game director, they already have some items that will be released in the upcoming season and others that will take place over several seasons that specifically address the issues that fans of Apex Legends have been having.

The choice to engage with the Apex Legends community more could restore fans' trust in the game's creators. August 6th marks the release of Apex Legends season 22, which might serve as the first milestone in demonstrating to the community that the developers are putting a lot of effort into making Apex Legends one of the top free-to-play shooters.
