VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Americas Stage 2 is an offline tournament which is taking place at Riot Games Arena, Los Angeles.The tournament started on 22nd June 2024 and will conclude on 21st July 2024. The event boasts a massive prizepool of $250,000 USD and 11 teams are taking part in it.Let's go through the specifics of this tournament.

Format of VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Americas Stage 2

Group Stage was held from June 22nd to July 14th, 2024.Two single round-robin groups were formed (Cross-group play was in Stage 1).Group Alpha had 5 teams & Group Omega had 6 teams and both were drawn before Stage 1 based on Kickoff performance. All matches were played on best of three series.Top six teams with the best combined records from Stage 1 and Stage 2, regardless of groups advanced to Playoffs.Top two teams earned a bye to the Upper bracket semifinals. 3rd through 6th place teams advanced to the Knockout Round.

The Dates for the Playoffs are July 17th to July 21st, 2024. Hybrid-elimination bracket will be applicable and Knockout round will be single-elimination. Upper bracket semi final onwards will be double-elimination. All matches excluding the lower bracket final and grand final will be best of three series. Lower bracket final and grand final will be played in best of five series.Top 3 teams will qualify for the Champions.

During the Knockout round, KRÜ Esports won 2-1 against Cloud9 and 100 Thieves defeated Sentinels with a 2-0 score.

During the Upper Bracket Semifinals, Leviatán won 2-0 against KRÜ Esports and G2 Esports defeated 100 Thieves with a 2-0 score.

KRÜ Esports will compete against 100 Thieves in the upcoming Lower Bracket Semifinal and Leviatán will play against G2 Esports in the upcoming Upper Bracket Final.

Prize Pool

The tournament offers a substantial prize pool of $250,000 USD with the following distribution:

• The team securing the first position will take home $100,000 and will qualify to the Champions.
• The team holding the second position will receive $65,000 and will qualify to the Champions.
• The third position holder team will receive $40,000 and will qualify to the Champions.
• The team securing the fourth place will take home $25,000.
