Recently, the creators of Dead by Daylight revealed some intriguing upcoming updates for the game. According to Dead by Daylight's ninth-year roadmap, the game is still continuing strong with a variety of scheduled feature releases happening all year long. The Behaviour Interactive team did provide some insight on a few minor upcoming improvements, albeit the most are still a mystery at this moment.
The majority of players feel that one of the greatest asymmetrical multiplayer games is Dead by Daylight. And while some people may find this to be the case, there are still a lot of worries and requests from fans that the club hasn't addressed or provided an explanation for as of yet. But the Behaviour Interactive team has made use of a Reddit AMA to expose some of their internal conversations and upcoming developments for the upcoming years.
During an official Dead by Daylight Developer AMA on Reddit, the team covered a range of themes. The much anticipated update on Michael Myers, Freddie Krueger, and internal discussions about how to handle Dead by Daylight's Skull Merchant issue were among the main topics discussed. Although some remarks questioned why the aforementioned characters' revisions would take so long, it was a nice change that many had been waiting for a while. It was also said that updates were needed for The Swamp. When it was going to be altered was stated in a very generic way, though, which left some commenters wanting more information.
Additional Updates Talked About by the Dead on the Daylight Team
The AMA Map indicates that Garden of Joy, Badham Preschool, Midwich Elementary, and the Swamp have changed.
Additional map versions of the current maps
Extra Prestige awards, such as a unique P100 prize for survivors that balances the volume of grunt noise
Updates to the Lobby UI
new mechanics for generators
Multiple benefit updates
Features for legendary characters that are expanded
Prospective dialogue for more mature characters
Despite the fact that Easter Eggs, visual features, and lore questions constituted the majority of the AMA, several fascinating notes were also covered. The team was reportedly studying the potential of the Remote Hooking feature, which was unveiled during Dead by Daylight's Twisted Masquerade event, despite the overwhelming negative response. Some answers were ambiguous, and some were classified as confidential information that should not be shared. It was implied, though, that some of the queries would be addressed in upcoming in-game patches.
The nature of cosmetics in the game was another hot issue of conversation. The fact that some characters were receiving more costumes than others has long been a source of community criticism. Some have even brought up the reason why certain costumes are still only available on Dead by Daylight Mobile. Regretfully, the team acknowledged that, despite their best efforts to distribute material releases among the characters, each Survivor's popularity determines which one gets to wear and skin more possibilities.
The devs that responded to the AMA promised that although many queries went unanswered, it was because they didn't want to reveal any plot details for next chapters. The community responded positively and with excitement to certain queries that were directly related to soon-to-be released content. Dead by Daylight's future appears to be bright and promising, and the team has made it clear that they intend to keep improving the game.
