The recently launched Diablo 4 Update 1.4.1 is already having problems; Blizzard has announced that the recently introduced Masterworking feature has been temporarily disabled. Diablo 4's Masterworking endgame crafting system gives players more control over their ultimate gear by letting them apply buff affixes to Legendary and Unique items. The Masterworking system was contentious because of how much gold it required users to spend, even though it was enjoyed by many gamers.

Update 1.4.1 for Diablo 4 was been released; it promises to repair numerous errors and makes multiple adjustments to the game's balance. Reducing the amount of gold spent on the Masterworking system was one of the most notable adjustments introduced by the latest Diablo 4 patch. Starting at Rank 5, the Masterworking system would use less gold if the patch functioned as planned. The reduction in the price of gold would only reach Rank 12, at which point it would be 75% less expensive. Nevertheless, it appears that these modifications caused a problem that broke the system.

Blizzard has now acknowledged that Masterworking is presently disabled on its forums. Community Manager Adam Fletcher stated that the team is working to provide a patch for the issue shortly, but he did not specify a particular date for when it would be fixed. Why Diablo 4's latest Update 1.4.1 broke the Masterworking system is still unknown. For those who prefer to use the endgame system, there is currently a workaround available: they can run any Pit level or use transmuting materials to reactivate the ability.

However, there are other issues with the most recent Diablo 4 season that players are having in addition to Masterworking not works. The adjustments made to mounts in Diablo 4's Season 4 are now causing a lot of players to get dissatisfied. On social media, players frequently voice their complaints about this issue, claiming that their mounts are experiencing issues that haven't happened since Season 1. As an illustration, consider how dashes now last less time than they used to or the issues that occur when players use their horses.

Despite the recent issues with the 1.4.1 update, Season 4 of Diablo 4 has been a huge success, becoming the game's most played period since its introduction. Diablo 4 achieved over 29,000 concurrent players on Steam shortly after the start of the new Loot Reborn season, surpassing its previous player milestone.
