Dream League Season 23: Everything You Should Know

DreamLeague Season 23 is an online Dota 2 competition hosted in Europe and managed by ESL Gaming. This tournament boasts a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD and 12 teams are participating in it. It commenced on 20th May 2024 and will conclude on 26th May 2024. Lets investigate into the details of this tournament.

DreamLeague Season 23 Format

Twelve teams will compete out of which four teams will be from EPT Leaderboard whereas eight teams will be from regional qualifiers.
During the group stage (20th May to 22nd May 2024), two single round-robin groups of six teams each will be formed. Top two teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of playoffs whereas 3rd and 4th place teams from each group will advance to the lower bracket of playoffs. Remaining teams will be eliminated. 

During the Playoffs (23rd May to 26th May 2024), double-elimination bracket will be applied. The Grand Final will be played in a best-of-five series, however all other matches will be played in best-of-three series.

In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, Gaimin Gladiators won 2-0 against Tundra Esports whereas Team Falcons won 2-0 against Xtreme Gaming.
In the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, BetBoom Team defeated Tundra Esports with a 2-0 score.

Prize Pool

The tournament boasts a massive prize pool of $1,000,000 USD , with the distribution as follows:

The winner will receive 6000 EPT points and $300,000. 

The squad in second place will win $175,000 in addition to 5,000 EPT points.

The winner in third place will receive $120,000 in addition to 4,000 EPT points. 

$85,000 and 3,200 EPT points will be awarded to the fourth-place finisher.
