In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, Call of Duty players can double their experience points for a brief period of time. Through the end of Season 3, players can earn double experience points in Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone, which might help them level up.

This development follows the official announcement of Season 4 and the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the newest Call of Duty game. A Black Ops 6 Direct is slated to take place on June 9th, following the Xbox Games Showcase, however no further information has been disclosed.

The Call of Duty Double XP period is still active as of this writing and ends on June 3 at 10 am PST. This implies that through the release of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4, players will be able to advance their online status until Season 3 concludes on May 29. From May 30 to June 3, those who do not yet purchase Modern Warfare 3 will also be able to play the Multiplayer and Zombies modes for free.

The official Call of Duty blog reports that Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer modes, including Zombies, will get some significant content additions in Season 4. Players of Modern Warfare can anticipate new game types, equipment, and maps that will require them to alter their strategy in order to prevail. The majority of Warzone's improvements focus on the Urzikstan map, where players can detect activity near specific bunkers and discover various routes to take in order to succeed through exfiltration. In Warzone, players will also discover fresh material aimed at bringing the Battle Royale mode back to life. In addition, new Gulag layouts, vehicles, and game types will be available to players.

Uncertain Black Ops 6 Tie-Ins Could Occur

Given the paucity of information available about Black Ops 6, it's difficult to say whether some updates serve as prefaces to the game's narrative or are even relevant to it. Players are cautioned in the blog post that as the season progresses, certain modes may experience higher "[[REDACTED]]" levels as they get "one step closer to the truth." Black Ops 6's current tagline is "The Truth Lies," which seems to fit with the blog post's word choice and heavy use of "[[REDACTED]]" throughout. Although the game's mysterious marketing effort is in full swing, no conclusive links to Warzone or Modern Warfare 3 have been discovered as of yet.
