Overview of BGIS 2024 Round 1 and Teams Eligible for Round 2

Underdog teams dominated the first round of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 main event. 1024 teams that advanced from the in-game qualifiers faced off in Round 1 in an attempt to advance to Round 2. A total of 448 teams—the top 7 teams from each group—advanced to Round 2 after each group played three matches. 32 teams were also qualified for Round 2 based on the overall standings of the remaining teams. From Round 1, 480 teams have progressed to Round 2.

Overview of BGIS 2024 Round 1 

Round 1 saw Enigma Gaming finish first with 78 points, two chicken dinners, and the highest point total. In second place, Chemin Esports received 75 points and two dinners of chicken. The future members of 7Shore Esports performed admirably in every game, earning 69 points and two chicken dinners. In the 2024 BGMI season, Big Brother Esports maintained its strong performance, scoring 66 points with 1 chicken supper, 46 of which came from finishes.

A few seasoned teams competed in Round 1, including Team XSpark, Medal Esports, Team Zero, and Velocity Gaming. Despite losing The Grind competition, these teams managed to advance to Round 1 through the in-game qualifications. These groups will now play in Round 2.
