Players of Pokemon GO should schedule Tuesday, May 7, in their calendars since that is the day the game's major "Rediscover" campaign ends. There have been conflicting reactions to the Pokemon GO Rediscover campaign. While some fans are grateful for the graphics enhancements given to the game's biomes, others are furiously unhappy with the Avatar alterations.

With Pokemon GO's Rediscover campaign, Niantic is attempting to update the game in an effort to potentially keep devoted gamers interested and possibly win over those who have fallen away. This plan consists of four steps. Pokemon GO made extremely contentious adjustments to the avatars in the first stage, Rediscover Yourself, and biome alterations in the second step, Rediscover Your World. Step 3: Rediscover Kanto brought in a brand-new Special Research mission centered around obtaining the region's Pokemon, who are now proliferating in the game.

On Tuesday, May 7, Pokemon GO's Rediscover campaign will culminate in its fourth and last phase. Niantic has not yet revealed the details of the update, dubbed "Rediscover Your Reality," although it probably has something to do with the augmented reality aspects of the game. One of Pokemon GO's primary selling features is augmented reality, yet many users opt to disable it. Perhaps a makeover could spark interest in Pokemon GO's augmented reality once more. On the other hand, perhaps Rediscover Your Reality has something wholly unanticipated in store. Players of Pokemon GO won't find out for sure until the update launches on May 7.

For Pokemon GO players, May 7th will be a momentous day, no matter how the update goes. Some of the criticism that has recently been leveled at the game may be mitigated if the new update is favorably accepted. Even though it's unlikely that angry Pokemon GO players would forget Niantic's Avatar changes very soon, a good update might nevertheless encourage some positive conversation about the game. If the update is poorly received or leads to more issues, it will add gasoline to the fire and exacerbate the negative feedback Pokemon GO has been receiving since the start of its Rediscover campaign.

It's obvious that Pokemon GO needs to adjust if it wants to please its supporters. It's unclear if any of those modifications will be included in the May 7 release. Players of Pokemon GO still have a lot to look forward to after May 7, as Season 15 and Pokemon GO Fest 2024 are approaching quickly.
