A fresh dispute appears to be developing as the cheers of Team Falcons winning ESL One Birmingham 2024 begin to die down. Luka "Lukawa" Nasuashvili, the manager of BetBoom Team, said on Telegram that following the 3-0 rout, the event winners will not shake hands with BetBoom players.

While trash talking was a part of the game, Lukawa pointed out that refusing to shake hands was just plain ridiculous and disrespectful to the entire BetBoom Team.

In response to these claims, Team Falcons' Oliver "skiter" Lepko said that they meant no disrespect to the BetBoom Team and that they had been told to raise the trophy as soon as they won.

Following Team Faclons' convincing win over BetBoom Team in the short lived best of five championship match. It is said that Team Falcons players went straight to the trophy lift instead of shaking hands with BetBoom Team members, as is customary and a sign of good sportsmanship.

The behavior of Team Falcons appears to have displeased BetBoom's manager, as he expressed on Telegram his sadness at BetBoom Team's defeat in the grand finals to Team Falcons. He acknowledged that trash-talking was a normal aspect of playing Dota 2, but he thought it was "clownery" that they wouldn't shake hands.

Many thought that Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek's caustic taunts directed against the Team Falcons prior to the grand finals was the cause of their unsportsmanlike conduct.

But these rumors and conjectures were quickly disproved when a skier from Team Falcons supposedly replied to Lukawa's comment, claiming that things were not as Lukawa had understood them to be.

"They [Team Falcons] were immediately told by the organizers to go and lift the trophy and not to be upset," Skiter said, providing even more clarification on the matter. They explained it to me, and since I'm a simple person, I'm explaining it to you as well.

It is hoped that this has cleared up any remaining confusion and given the Dota 2 community knowledge regarding all sides of the issues.
