Fans of Team Falcons may are in for another round of sadness as Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak might not make it to the forthcoming ESL One Birmingham 2024, following a huge upset at the just finished Elite League.
Recently, the 19-year-old turned to Telegram to alert his followers and admirers to the chance that he might not be able to attend the offline Dota 2 competition.
Malr1ne disclosed that he was unsure if he would be able to board the plane to Birmingham, England, and also he had still not received anything from the authorities regarding the status of his visa.
The midlaner for Team Falcons, Malr1ne, posted a video on 14th April, 2024, detailing his current visa status and warning that things may not turn out well for the young player, maybe missing the ESL One Birmingham 2024 tourney.
This is at a critical juncture for Team Falcons. They are presently ranked third on the EPT Leaderboard and has a limited number of ESL events remaining to earn the EPT points required to qualify for the Riyadh Masters.
As the final piece in a puzzle, Marlr1ne's role on Team Falcons allows him to complement his teammates and create synergy. Without him to provide aggressive mid-lane plays, they would be at a significant disadvantage.
However, the ESL said that 1win missed the deadline for visa permission, so OG was awarded the spot, making them the first team to be replaced for the forthcoming ESL One Birmingham 2024.
The event organizers ignored 1win's accusations, claiming that their visa was ready and that they simply needed a few more hours to show it to the ESL.
