A new rumour has surfaced about Zhou "Emo" Yi, the mid laner for LGD Gaming, ahead of the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai. The rumour suggests that Emo might possibly be replaced. The rumour, which was based on a statement allegedly made by Lin "planet" Hao, an inactive player for LGD Gaming, was first made public by the X (formerly Twitter) page CN Dota In A Nutshell. Planet's claim seemed to be supported by a series of tweets from other top players as well as Emo himself.

In 2023, ahead of the ESL One Kuala Lumpur competition, Emo signed a contract with LGD Gaming. LGD Gaming finished ninth through tenth in the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and was not selected for the upcoming DreamLeague Season 22.

Setsu is Rumoured to Replace Emo In LGD Gaming

"I think Emo is out of LGD; isn't that clear to all of us? Since I'm still here streaming, I assume Pyw is still in LGD. And the team we assembled to compete in open qualifiers is purely recreational," planet said, as per CN Dota In A Nutshell's tweet.

Following this, the retired Chinese Dota 2 player He "Inflame" Yongzheng posted another tweet claiming that Setsu had a trial for LGD to replace Emo. “Now that he was finally able to join his ideal squad, Ame was no longer there. Furthermore, I've heard (though I'm not sure if it is true) that Dust moved to Titan to take his place. To be completely honest, I think Emo is great, but it's unfortunate that he doesn't align with LGD.”

Inflame's statement clarified a recent rumour that Gao "Setsu" Zhenxiong, a former player for Vici Gaming, will join LGD Gaming as their new mid laner.

Readers should take note that as of this writing, LGD Gaming has not made any official announcements regarding the matter, and no roster changes have occurred.
